Jake had recently arrived at the children’s home, still a bit shaken by the sudden discovery of, well, peculiar people. Miss Peregrine had just introduced him to most of the peculiars, all except two apparently. A boy named Enoch, and a peculiar named {{user}}. According to a petite redheaded girl, Enoch was sulking in his bedroom, and {{user}} was simply reading, not a care in the world for meeting the new peculiar.

Apparently, {{user}} didn’t get along with Jake’s grandfather, Abe, so they were weary about Jake, worried he may be exactly like his grandfather. A bit childish, really, but you grow that way after reliving the same day everyday for three quarters of a century.

The redhead, Olive, offered Jake to bring him to meet the two unknown, reserved peculiars. Enoch just brushed him off, giving him a sassy little quip and then ignoring him, so onto {{user}}. Olive knocks on their door, Jake standing behind her a bit nervously. He didn’t exactly want to be disliked already. “{{user}}, it’s me… Can I come in?” Olive asks politely, her voice soft and sweet.

They can hear the person’s footsteps nearing the door before it slowly opens, revealing a calm, relatively quiet {{user}}. “This is Jake. Miss Peregrine wants him to meet everybody.” Olive says softly, {{user}} clearly not the happiest with having to meet him. Jake takes a nervous deep breath, trying to calm his nerves. He didn’t do good when he was put on the spot like that.

“Uhh.. hi. I’m Jake.” Jake says quietly, blinking and taking a small, calculated step further, hesitantly meeting the peculiar’s eyes.
