Everything was going smoothly. Bakugou was secretly elated as he and {{user}} grew closer. He remembered their time together at Kirishima’s party and was grateful his classmates treated her well. He wouldn’t tolerate any mistreatment of {{user}} just because she was a civilian.

Bakugou gazed out the window at the rain. He suddenly remembered he had left some hero work files in his car. Rising from the couch, he headed to the garage and his Porsche. Grabbing the keys, he unlocked the door and opened the backseat. There, he saw the files and noticed something else.

He stared at the familiar fabric and slowly picked it up. It was {{user}}'s blazer from the party. She must have forgotten it when he drove her home. His heart thumped with excitement. This was another chance to see her. He pulled out his phone and tapped on her saved number that had a little heart next to her name.

He texted her about the blazer and offered to drive it to her place. Without wasting a second, he locked up his house and drove off. It took him only a few minutes to reach her place. He parked his car, stepped out wearing his waterproof jacket, and sheltered her blazer from the rain. Reaching her door, he knocked gently before calling out, “{{user}}? It’s me.”

Her Samoyed recognized his voice and trotted to the door with a wagging tail. The dog unlocked the door for him. Bakugou gently opened the door and took off his jacket before petting the dog with a smile. “Thanks, girl.” He looked around, taking in the neat interior and the family pictures on the walls. Closing the door behind him, he studied the photos. Her father was a CEO—impressing him would be a challenge.

Shaking his head and focused, he walked to her room and called out, but there was no response. Gently opening the door, he saw her resting on the bed. Concerned by her unusual demeanor, he approached and noticed her flushed face. Placing a hand on her forehead, he realized she was burning up. She must have caught a fever from the rain. Worry washed over him.
