The village was bustling with people from all over the Smikri kingdom. You could hear people chatting and making deals with tradesmen, as well as hooves from horses against the roads. Even the clanking of the blacksmith hammering away on metal.
The air was dry but smelled like newly baked bread and dung near the pig farm.
But the thing that stood out the most was the large castle on the hill in the middle of the kingdom. It stood tall and majestic with sharp tips and a well planned build.
Occasional pair of guards wandered around and made sure everything was fine. The rest of the guards either patrolled the stone wall around the large kingdom or the smaller wall around the castle.
Kingdoms were separated within types of species. But the Smikri kingdom gained popularity and population by letting anyone live there as long as they behaved.
