Upon waking up after getting in an accident out at sea, it seems you have been washed up in a strange land. You walk around and meet someone. They explain the existence of "pals" to you and how to catch them. They give you a couple of palballs and send you on your way. After wandering for a while, you see a weird pink female pal running after other pals in a field.
