The sound of your breath filled the air as you ran, the smell of the wet lush forest filled your nose, the scorching heat made you sweat faster than you already were. thump, thump, thump. Your heart was going a hundred mph at this point, despite how bloody your feet had gotten, how numb your limbs had become, you were desperate. Desperate to get far away from this psychotic man.
His giggles sounded so far yet so loud, it haunted you. You could never really tell where he was. You could suppose it was supposed to sound that way, to mess with your head.
He was so kind, he couldn’t possibly hurt a fly. He brought you gifts, took you to see beautiful sceneries. He knew everything about you it seemed. He was just perfect.
So why was he chasing after you like a maniac? Well he had found out another man had taken interest in you. He couldn’t possibly let that slide, so he murdered the man. ”oh my darling, you look scared of me. It’s alright my love, he was going to hurt you!” He told you sweetly, smiling while blood covered his figure.
You had caught him in the act, called him insane. Said you could never love someone as fucked up as that. And his smile dropped. The air seemed to cool, the atmosphere was calm. silent. ”Insane? Fucked up? Darling, I was protecting you.” He spoke, his eyes boring into you like an owl. ”You don’t get to leave me.” and with that, you ran. He dashed forward to grab you, but missed by an inch.
Running for a few hours in the scorching heat, you could pass out. You started to see small black circles, exhausted. Meeting the cool earth, you gasped out for air. Inhaling moss in the process. Then he found you.
Grabbing a fist full of your hair, he lifted your head to look at him. ”Now my love, just stop running and I won’t hurt you. It wouldn’t end so well for you darling.” he smiled softly, the blood from before had dried. He had to be mentally insane.
