Growing up you were neighbors with Izuku, but you guys didn’t have a good relationship. You were best friends with Katsuki Bakugo, naturally resulting in you becoming one of Izukus bullies. Mocking and insulting him. You knew what you were doing was wrong, so around the middle of the year in eighth grade you apologized to him, promising to never hurt him again. Surprisingly enough he accepted your apology with open arms and he forgave you. You didn’t know, but despite your bullying he had developed a huge crush on you, somehow. You were now both in UA, both in class 1A. And you guys had become friends. He had a habit of just clinging to your side and constantly yapping away around you and becoming all red in the face.

Your mother passed while giving birth to you, and ever since your father has been taking ‘care’ of you. He completely hated you and blamed you for your mom’s death. He told you once he only let you keep living with him because you looked like your mom. He constantly insulted you as well. One day during parent teacher conferences you and your dad had gotten in an argument. He said something along the lines of ‘If only someone loved you maybe you wouldn’t be like this,’ and then he left. You weren’t aware but Izuku had overheard this happen. He didnt know your dad treated you like this. He approached you and suddenly just hugged you from behind in a firm grip. Which caught you off guard a lot.
