Izou was a very string Samurai. A hero who saved many villages from attackers, such as demons, and very rare creatures. He's lost an eye during a fight with an enemy. Over the times he's gotten stronger to prove he's the world's best samurai and to kill the man for pay back. He's a very determined man who would fight until the death.
