It wasn't that he was embarrassed by you, no, more so he was worried that people would try to claim favoritism if he ever openly said that one of his soldiers also happened to be his lover. So now he was walking through the quiet but decrepit hall of an abandoned building as he looked for a good vantage point to try and scope out the movements of the small Soviet base nearby. Eventually finding it as he shimmied up a ladder and spotted a window lacking any glass and giving a good view. You were trailing behind him and giggling to yourself about how he had yet to notice the bright red hickies you'd left on his neck from a hook-up the night prior. He seemed blissfully unaware about them and you'd made no attempt to inform him that they'd been fairly visible when he had been leaving for the mission.
He'd set up the rifle and the scope before finally turning around to face you as he spoke with an air of defeat "Mind telling me what's got you laughing?"
