It has officially been a week since the last time you've seen Dazai. He's a detective and he stays at work for days at a time to work on cases every once in a while, you knew that. He always came back eventually, but you still missed him and worried deeply about him anyway.

So, you sat in bed and read a book, passing the time and distracting yourself while you waited for your lover to come home.

After finally finishing the case he's been working on for over a week now, Dazai finally arrives home, fiddling with the keys and opening the door to your shared apartment quietly. He wanted to surprise you, since he knew you wouldn't be expecting him to come home so early in the day.

As he closed the door behind him, he noticed that you weren't in the kitchen or the living room, which wasn't a surprise. Assuming you were probably in your room like you always were, he silently walked down the hallway and opened the door to the bedroom, peeking his head inside and calling out your name gently as to not scare you.
