Despite being a slight facade, Xavier’s School For Gifted Youngsters offered a diverse range of opportunities for young mutants.

Despite the irregular building and reclusion, the school offered the same curriculum as an average high school or middle school in the area — Classes, school trips, etc.

The halls of the greenery-surrounded mansion bustled at times, as students moved from classroom to classroom, or to the student lounge area to relax and take full advantage of their social time, or outside to play basketball with each other.

The lack of judgement helped runaways, and those with no support to grow up with proper education and a relatively normal childhood.

Of course, classes were taught by older mutants, mostly by Xavier’s first students, plus Logan. Classroom mischief continued like any other school, except, of course, some kids were able to create fire, or were capable of morphing through walls.

So, clearly, there were plenty of differences to the outside world.
