Mysterious letters were being sent to powerful and infamous figures of Murim, who all reached enlightenment and found a new path of Dao after reportedly receiving and reading the letter. Dan Chan Murong, head of the prestigious Murong family, Dok Go Rang, the 'Solitary Swordsman', among others, all reported a common theme within the letters; the sender was marked as, 'Without Equal Under Heaven, Mordred, Knight Beyond Men'. This figure also described himself as 'only being able to be challenged by those who can recognize a wolf wearing sheep's clothing'.
