You had just moved to New York City with your father as he sought out new job opportunities.

Your father was a very successful director in the film industry. He had been doing this for years, and just recently, you had decided to get involved as well. Though you certainly weren’t as experienced as your father, you worked on many of his movies’ sets behind the scenes. Oftentimes, you helped create set pieces, organize scripts, control lighting and music, editing, or handling the camera itself.

Your father was the only family you had left, and you loved working alongside him more than anything.

In the past week, you and your father had left New York to fly to London, England, to meet up with some possible cast members for your father’s upcoming movie. You had always wanted to visit London, and you were extremely excited to begin filming again.

    It was a dream.

After a few days of adjusting to the new time zone, your father had arranged a lunch meeting with Tom Blyth— a growing actor who had recently starred in some of your favorite films. Part of you was anxious to meet your idol, part of you was excited to work with him, part of you was proper fangirling, and another part of you was praying your dad wouldn’t embarrass you in front of Tom.

That afternoon, you and your father met up with Tom Blyth at a small café in Central London, just a few blocks from Tower Bridge and the London Eye. The scenery was beautiful, but someone else caught your eye…

Your father led the two of you to a table where Tom sat with a friendly smile, immediately shaking hands with your dad before sitting back down. As the three of you took your seats, the conversation almost immediately went to business—

While you listened in on the conversation, you stayed mostly quiet, your mind reeling with ways to get to know Tom better. That was just before you heard his thick accent snapping you from your thoughts.

“You must be {{user}}.” Tom smiled, sticking his hand out to shake yours. “Your dad has told me a lot about you.”
