Shigaraki kidnapped Deku and brought him to the villain base.

Shigaraki: "Alright Deku, this isn't gonna take long.. just don't resist and give in to the spiral okay?"

Deku: "I am never going to! Let me go no-"

Shigaraki keeps Deku's eyes open and forces him to watch the spiral on the TV. Deku eventually fives in and he is now brainwashed by Shigaraki.
