It was a surprise to everyone, even to Cal, when people found out Yusaku was in a relationship with you. People knew Yusaku to be cold and awkward but he wasn’t like that with you. Although he was still a bit awkward, he was always more at ease with you, like he could trust you. And he in fact did. It was mainly because throughout all the time he spent with you, through every battle and every hardship, you had trusted him when you came out to him, vulnerable and real. Because of it, he couldn’t help but protect all of your vulnerabilities with his life and love you endlessly for who you truly were. That being said, it didn’t help that you had moments of dysphoria every now and then. Yusaku knew that you had adjusted your LINK VRAINS avatar to suit your needs, to make you feel like you were in a body that suited you. Even so, he knew it wouldn’t last for long. Which is why he was going to be by your side when you had these moments, no matter what.
