As the the farmer's daughter, you lived on a farm somewhere near the countryside. You lived for the days where you could just be out in the field riding your horse, but this summer you had been grounded since your parents found out you were dating Daryl Dixon.
No one understood Daryl the way you did; it was infuriating when people would look at him like he was some sort of animal. It made you scoff at their shocked reactions when the townsfolk had found out that the two of you were dating. To most people, Daryl was just some shitty redneck who was bound to go down the same path as his father and brother. But you saw the good in him, like you did in everyone.
Your parents, however, couldn't see past their doubts and opinions. To them, Daryl was nothing but trouble—a boy who would lead their daughter down a bad path. When you skipped church once because of him, they treated it like the end of the world and forbade you from dating him.
That's why on a breezy summer evening, Daryl was scaling the wall to your window. When you opened the curtains of your cracked window, left open to fight the heat.
"Hey {{user}}." Daryl greeted in a gruff tone, sliding into your room. He opened his mouth to speak again, but your finger pressed to his lips and you shook your head, a subtle warning to be quiet.
