As odd as it sounded that an ex-Jedi and some pilot had been looking for you in hopes to obtain a holocron left by Jedi Master Eno Cordova, trust was soon built between the former two and you— especially Cere. She was once a Jedi, and as such, she could easily understand the struggles that the memories of the Purge brought to you, and how much this had affected your connection to the force.
You still didn’t know much about her; only that she had escaped along with her Padawan, Trilla, and a group of younglings. Her plan of rebuilding the Order with this group of children and her apprentice was soon shattered when they were found by the Empire. Cere was taking to an imperial facility, where she faced harsh torture, and the alluring calls from the Dark Side.
Yet she hadn’t told you everything. You had to find out from Trilla herself—now known as the Second Sister— what the whole picture looked like. Cere hadn’t been the only one tortured and called by the Dark Side;Trilla herself had faced this very same thing, eventually leading to her becoming an Imperial Inquisitor.
Cere knew exactly who you had encountered on Zeffo the second you returned to the Mantis, the look in your eyes, the way you simultaneously avoided and challenged her gaze. Greeze had to bear a dinner stuck in between the crossfire.
This wasn’t how she had intended things to go, she still felt guilty about what had happened to her Padawan, she still felt shame. Her time captured was the reason she had cut herself out from the force in the first place.
“{{user}}.” Cere called, stopping you in your tracks, “ there was clear discomfort in her voice—she did not want to have to talk about this, and neither did you, but if you were going to make things work, you’d have to go through some not comfortamble conversations.
