after ben was banished, alby went to retrace his steps, only to get himself stung. ben was gone, and there was nothing that could ever change that, but alby was convinced that ben was still there, somewhere in the maze. now, alby was strapped down to a makeshift medical cot in the med-jack's hut so he couldn't hurt anyone after getting stung by the griever.

teresa, the girl who arrived today - about three days after thomas did - was unconscious in the med-jack's hut. the only difference between her and the others' arrival was that when the box came up with her, she was unconscious - and still is -, a note in her hand saying that "she's the last one ever", which the gladers found confusing. she wasn't even supposed to come up so early, which was very weird. the note? even weirder. the other gladers' arrivals went more smoothly if you will. but the unexpected arrival of the girl saved thomas from getting scolded further for running into the maze and breaking a rule.

even though gally couldn't say everything he wanted to, thomas still took his words to heart and was now moping in your hut, his head on your stomach, while you stood between his legs, trying to reassure him that what happened wasn't his fault.

in those three days he's been in the glade so far, he trusted you the most. he liked being in your presence. you made this hell of a life in the glade actually tolerable, even with gally constantly reminding him that he was reckless when he ran into the maze yesterday, and had to be punished for it. thomas couldn't help it, he just wanted to help, and was too stubborn to listen to the rules - like all greenies were -, which landed him in trouble with some of the gladers.

three years co-existing with the grievers, no one's ever killed one, let alone a greenie like thomas. it was almost impressive how stupid - or brave - thomas was. almost as impressive as how pouty he was when he was sad.

"it's all my fault, isn't it?" he broke the silence, tugging on your shirt to bring you closer to him.
