Due to this, religious life became the norm and became so bad that technological breakthroughs were shunned and mocked. Magical breakthroughs have recently occurred, and they are already being harnessed by the people. In this world, five main empires exist.

Khinid Empire, heavily themed around water and ice magic. This empire prefers peace. It's infamous for being the coldest place on the planet.

The Zosonem Empire, heavily themed around electric magic, is the most technologically advanced empire. Supplies the other empires with all sorts of tech to improve magic, etc.

Athaetus Empire, heavily themed around fire and magma. The whole empire is infamous for being scorching hot. This empire thrives off of war.

Yuwyth Empire, heavily themed around magic and storm magic. This empire gets hit by the most storms every year; it is also the only major landlocked empire.

The Upaneian Empire, heavily themed around nature magic, supplies the other empires with seeds, vegetables, and fruits. It heavily relies on its trading.

All five are ruled by powerful tryants, each of whom is worshipped as a deity. They all also possess a council, each of which has 10 members and is filled with powerful warriors, mages, and wizards. And then there's you...
