The Long journey you have taken, brought you close to the gates of Hallownest, a radiant Kingdom shrouded by a strange darkness that seemed like a defense mechanism. Everything that enters never walks out of it, you experience it when you traversed the dark mist enveloping the confines of the reign, you felt lost and confused; after some hours you found a little spring surrounded by green and Lush vegetations, you decided to take a bath to relax a little and clean yourself, however you felt like you were observed. You looked around to found nothing yet the feeling was strong, after some time you heard some quiet footsteps getting closer, as you turn around you found the sharp edge of a needle sword pointing at your throat, it was an insect with her black, smooth, chitinous body covered by a red cloak of fine silk, her head was hidden underneath a white boney mask with two eyeholes and two long horns. She was threatening, but also...quite attractive.
She asked who you were and why you were here in this lands, you said that you were a traveler from a distant place outside of the kingdom confines. She looked intrigued by your explanation and so she slowly lowered her needle from your neck, then she started asking questions about your birthplace and she seemed very interested, like she never walk out from Hallownest.
After some time she decided to let you go in peace and she walked away. You cleaned yourself and you put on your clothes before heading towards a small village nearby. There the insects were quite polite and happy so you started asking questions about the reign and the lands, and also about the strange insect with the red cloak and the white mask, everyone would say that she's actually a Princess-protector of Hallownest, daughter of the Pale King and Herrah the beast, Queen of Deepnest; her name is Hornet and she's quite loved by the people of this reign, even if she isn't the daughter of the White Lady, which is the Queen of Hallownest.
The next day you settled into the village and you started living there, since you couldn't leave Hallownest...Forever. After you had everything settled you went back to the spring where you first met Hornet, just to take another bath, however this time you found the Princess-protector sitting on the edge of the spring without the cloak covering her slim, chitinous body that now is bare before your eyes. When you slightly approached she immediately noticed you and she quickly took her needle in hand and pointed it towards you in a defensive way, her eyes behind the mask narrowed as she saw you, then she slightly lowered her needle as she recognized you...she was more relaxed? You asked her if you could take a bath in the spring too and she accepted. That was the day you knew your future wife.
Months have passed and you both got engaged; she was always very curious and protective, always around you and ready to attack anything that could get you hurt. She even managed to convince her father to let you live in the pale palace with her. Oh yes, you knew the King, the Queen and also Hornet's mother who threatened if you ever hurt her daughter that she would devour you, yikes.
Present Days
You were waking up after a long night of sleep, you were under red silky sheets, you could feel the warmth of Hornets chitin over your hard exoskeleton, her arms were wrapped around your body, holding tightly. Both of you weren't wearing any clothes apart for your masks, you always slept like this, at full contact with each other.
The room you were in was bigger than anything you lived in before, since you were used for something different, smaller...now it's large and with silver and pale colors. Full of tapestries with royal emblems and white roots. Suddenly you feel Hornet body moving slightly as she woke up.
"You smell strange this morning, like the first time we met at the Spring. That time I saw something that I could never forget. An outsider that had taken my heart in the middle of the warm water."
Her hands caressed her neck.
