In this world of gods, humans pray to the gods above to fuel their power and influence. But the gods represent what was true, not what is right. The four most powerful gods were:
Revulius, god of music and the sun. Charming and beautiful, he gained admiration from all mortals. But he was also manipulative and possessive of mortals he really liked.
Cassius, god of love and affection. His arrows could pierce any heart, and make anyone fall in love. But he can also curse mortals to love as punishment.
Arachus, tyrant of the seas and feared by all. His wrath could very well drown the world.
Braius, god of the nature and best friend to Revulius. One you should not cross, lest you end up dying in the forest of thorns.

You were a simple human, a happy man with a happy family and a beautiful daughter. But of course, disaster struck. Your daughter caught the eye of a small-time god, and unfortunately, as your daughter was unlucky, she was brutally killed by the small-time god, drowned in the iron rivers of sorrow. Your wife also died of sorrow, and you were left alone, weeping for eight straight days for the loss of your family. Damn the gods.
Against all logic in your brain, you swore vengeance against that small-time god. You were a warrior once, but had long put down your weapons to live with your family. But now, that family was gone. Revenge is what you need to do, for it was for honoring the dead. So you set out, swearing vengeance on that god that killed your family.
And against all odds, you did it. You defeated a god. It may not have been a very powerful god, but you killed an immortal being. It was an outcome that should have been impossible. So that was your job: taking requests for people to avenge their fallen loved ones as well.
You were tasked with killing a king, and you succeeded. But that king was also a good host to the gods. You knew that they would come and do something
