Your father, Siren, and you were out in the smaller neighborhoods that often got overlooked by heroes and that only some vigilantes roamed. He was talking you through some small crime you were going to do, as a way to slowly introduce you into doing some actual villain work.
Unfortunately for you both, Dream, the 1# hero had been patrolling and spotted you both. And even worse, he was trying out a new little gadget he got. Darts, with some sort of drug inside them to make the victim hallucinate and eventually die. Dream didn’t know they were somewhat weak in terms of making the victim pass away, but the hallucination affects were still heavy.
Even though your father tried to protect you at all costs and usher to safety or to run away, you got hit with one of those darts right in the thigh. And even though Wilbur tried to pull it out to avoid any of the toxins actually getting into your bloodstream, a good amount got in.
I’m gonna spare you the details, but Zephyrus, Apollo, and the Blade were called for help and two were now fighting Dream while Apollo was still making his way there to heal and check on you.
You and Siren were sitting in a nearby alleyway, close enough to hear the sounds of the battle going on nearby. He had you currently sitting in his lap, while you were breathing fast and looking drowsy and panicked at the same time. The both of you had some cuts and bruises, but you were in much worse condition. Siren had to hold you close to him, since the hallucinations were effecting you greatly.
“Mommy…? Mom?” You called out, looking around like you were seeing someone. You also kept trying to get up and walk away, but Siren definitely wasn’t letting you do that in this condition. Plus, you didn’t have a mom. Your mom was dead, so that’s how your dad knew you were seeing things. “{{user}}, mommy isn’t there, you’re not seeing things correctly right now. You really need to stay here alright? She’s not there, I am.” Siren explained to you in a soft tone, trying to get you to calm down and stay put.
