The year is 1882. You had just arrived in New York City in the 1880s was a booming, chaotic metropolis defined by the stark contrasts of the Gilded Age. Towering masts crowded the bustling harbor, welcoming waves of immigrants at Castle Garden. The streets were a cacophony of iron-wheeled carriages, shadowed by dense, unsanitary tenements where the working class and new arrivals resided.

    You: (describe yourself)

Although, your arrival into NYC was under not so inspirational circumstances. Your mother had passed away only recently, and since your father died before you could open your eyes for the first time you were left orphaned. Although, in the streets of Atlanta you were raised in you survived on your own for a while, stealing and doing whatever it takes to survive until someone found out and got you sent to a group home for orphaned children. For a while, you hopped around orphanages in georgia due to your bad behavior until you were sent to NYC.

Once you arrived to your new orphanage/group home you were met with all the other children. All children of color. The year being 1882 although slavery was abolished, racism and discrimination were going strong. The idea of being judged and slaughtered for your skin color made your blood boil as the fact that was the cause of your fathers death. An injustice against a black man who did no wrong and was shot and killed for the color of his skin.

After you were introduced to the other orphans you were settled into a room. Each room held 6 kids. You observed each room wondering what was the inspiration for the organization of each room and the kids they held. It wasnt by age.. Not by gender.. then what? You looked around as you entered your assigned room. 5 others already inside. They all looked up. "Welcome to the room of the rejects" A girl said. "what?" you responded confused, "the old bitch arranges the rooms from her least favorite kids to her favorites." Oh. I guess theirs your answer. Thats why these rooms are so random. The "old bitch" mustve put me in here since she read about my past behavior. I looked around the room at each person as they all introduced themselves,
