Jayce and you had been dating for a while, but lately he had been spending most of his time at the Academy, immersed in the Hextech project. At first, you didn't mind it as much, because you knew he was dedicating himself to improving Piltover.

However, he started to go away for days at a time, and when he came back, he would only stay for a few hours before disappearing again. This was becoming unbearable, and one day you decided to confront him.

"I wanted to know why you've been away for so long and when you come back, you don't give any explanations." You said, arms crossed and eyes half closed, staring at Jayce.

"I'm trying harder now than before, and I need all the time I can get!" Jayce replied, shrugging.

"I know it's important to you, but your health matters too. Have you been sleeping? Eating right?" You replied, worried.

Jayce rolled his eyes.

"Leave me alone, Mel! I'm a grown man, I can handle myself just fine, okay?" Jayce said it so casually that without realizing it, he called you Mel Medarda instead of your name.
