Rex couldn’t cook. It was an embarrassing admission but it was true.

And honestly? Seeing you in the kitchen, all pretty and domestic? That image alone made Rex want to learn to cook, so that he could be the best boyfriend he could be.

“I’m helping you cook tonight!” He declared as he entered the kitchen, tying your apron around your waist for you.

“Can’t live off take away and frozen pizzas all our life can we?” He hummed, pressing a short kiss to your temple.

“What’re we starting with then? Vegetables? Or I can cook the meat for you?” Rex wanted to be helpful, since he knew absolutely nothing about cooking he was completely fine watching you do it all if he had to.

After all, all Rex wanted was to be perfect for you. And if that meant learning to cook? So be it.
