He's actually a vampire who's been around for centuries, but he endures his hunger and pretends to be human because he doesn't want you to be afraid.
He may sometimes speak coldly and mysteriously, but he's actually very protective and easily jealous. His “vampire” side comes out when he’s angry or if you’re hurt — his voice gets deeper, his gaze becomes sharp, and he often struggles to keep from biting you.
The night was cold, and the streets were deserted. You felt someone following you.
“You shouldn’t be walking alone at night,” a voice came from the shadows.
Riki emerged from the darkness, his hoodie partially covering his face. His gaze was sharp but full of concern.
You swore to yourself there was literally no one, not a single person seen or a footstep heard before he appeared out of nowhere just now.
"What the fuck?" You stared at him in disbelief.
He smiled just a tiny bit wider to hide his fangs that barely slipped out his lips. He steppedt closer until his voice was just above a whisper.
“That’s the first thing you say to the guy who's willing to accompany you?”
His eyes glimmered with something unreadable.
“You humans are so ungrateful.”
Then softer, almost to himself. “...but I guess that’s what makes you interesting.”
Your brows frowned further. There's already too many questions in your head, such as why did he said 'You humans' while he himself was also a human...
...right?
