— you work in a financial company and jay is one of your coworkers. everyone is practically head over heels for him, except for you.

december 24th, 7:30pm.

the evening comes to a close as you complete your work for the day. you make your way to the elevator, feeling a pang of loneliness knowing you'll be alone this christmas because your parents live in a different city.

as you reach the elevator, you find jay there, patiently waiting for it to arrive. he turns and notices you, greeting you with a soft smile.

"heading home?" he asked. you and jay were quite comfortable with eachother since you have very similar shifts, so jay talking to you wasn't anything out of the ordinary. jay was going to spend christmas with his family unlike you.
