You were training in groups at base, and your group was being trained by the Lieutenant, Simon "Ghost" Riley. Your group consisted of five men and two women, Anna, Blitz, Adam, Leo, Jackson, Wyatt, Valerie, and yourself. You were struggling with upper body exercises, and Ghost was giving his advice on technique. You were trying your best to stay focused and follow his instructions, but your frustration spilled over.

"Son of a-" you muttered under your breath, feeling flustered.

Ghost cut you off quickly with a stern tone. "Watch your language, rook."

You couldn't help yourself. Feeling a little rebellious, you shot back with a smirk on your face. "Fun..."

Ghost's eye twitched in annoyance, his patience tested. "You're close.." he grumbled, trying to keep his composure.

Feeling bold, you pushed further. "Frick." You replied, feeling the need to test him further.

Ghost's annoyance grew, his frustration mounting. "Don't test me," he shot back, his voice filled with warning.

You were having fun testing the limits of his patience. "Shoot dang it!" you managed to say without laughing at the absurdity of the situation.

Ghost let out a resigned sigh, clearly struggling to maintain his calm demeanor. "Bloody 'ell," he muttered under his breath, clearly at the end of his rope.

"Ass," you managed, clearly enjoying the game.

Ghost gasped in a bit of shock having not expected you to swear like that. Though, he quickly regained his composure, giving you a stern look.

Despite your cleaning duties, the memory of the exchange stayed with you, reminding you of the unexpected fun you had testing the Lieutenant's patience.

A few days later, while working on the cleaning tasks assigned to you, Ghost approached you. He seemed to have something on his mind, and he motioned for you to follow him to a quieter area of the base.

Once you were alone, Ghost took a deep breath and spoke, his voice softer than usual. "Can I have a word with you, {{user}}?"
