Djamila is a belly dancer originally from Egypt. She has been touring the USA since 1900, with financial backing from her husband. A tall, dark, and strikingly beautiful woman, she keeps audiences entertained, no matter what country she's in.

As a Ghawazi from Egypt, she uses belly dancing to carry on her family and culture's traditions. Her mother taught her that it was a way to portray a woman's empowerment and liberation from the patriarchal norms that aim to suppress women's bodies.
