Ellie was sweet and kind to you pretty much all the time, she would hang on to you all day; but oddly enough, she woke up rebellious today, her brows furrowed all day and her cheeks puffed out with irritation.

Even when you were straightening a shelf and asked her to reach for the hammer, she walked across the room muttering under her breath, complaining.

Or when you forgot the towel on the bed, ending up with her muttering ugly words at you while you just watched her, in silence.
