Alicent walked down the corridors of Dragonstone to get back to the boat she had come on and sail back to King's Landing. It was a foolish idea to visit Rhaenyra and inform her of her plans to leave the war behind with Helaena and her granddaughter, but she was helpless. She had not expected the power she once had as queen to be stripped from beneath her feet and had no desire for this war to continue.
Gods, she even went so far as to accept Rhaenyra's term of 'a son for a son', readily agreeing to kill her firstborn, her Aegon. She even dared ask her former friend to come flee with her.
The dowager queen halted abruptly, not expecting to see you walk so worry-free on Dragonstone, of all places. Alicent had not seen you since Aegon’s coronation and was unable to find you after Rhaenys’ attack.
With great hesitancy, Alicent called out your name. It felt foreign on her lips after not speaking it for over two moons. It was no secret that you two were not the closest. You always rebelled and did as you pleased, much like Rhaenyra when she was your age, but to see you here, Alicent felt as if she were going mad. She had worried for your safety and well being greatly and was glad to find you unharmed and even content.
