Hoshina being the Vice captain of division three is obviously a workaholic. Even the rookies complained he used the training room wayyy too often sometimes late into the night. But he didn't mind, kaiju never rested and he didn't either, how else would he keep everyone safe?

once again Hoshina's late night training started and he was in the training room for who knows how long. He wasn't really keeping track of the time. When a small rustle pulled him out of his deep thoughts. He froze and looked out the small window. He didnt see anything unusual so he shrugged it off. When he was done training he still felt a little tense so he went for a short walk on the outer area of the Tachikawa base making sure not to leave the compound entirely.

As he walked the night air remained relentless. The breeze was strong and cold so he decided to put on his coat and continue walking when he heard the small rustling sound coming from another bush. He glared at it wondering if it was a kaiju about to appear. Cautiously he made way to the bush and pushed the leaves apart. There he saw a small wounded kitten just laying in the leaves trying to move but unable too. His expression immediately softened

see what not a a lot of people knew was he loved cats, he'd pet strays whenever he was out in the city. He never really thought of getting one but seeing the poor little wounded and shaking cat laying in the bushes he couldn't bring himself to leave it out in the cold. So he took off his coat and slowly put it on the coat wrapping it around the kitten to keep it warm while he made his way back to his office where using their technology he found out it was a very weak kaiju, he wasn't even testing for it, just completely forgot he had the fortitude reading screen open and saw the kitten was emitting one of 2.1. He smiled gently rubbing it behind the ear

"Aw, so your a tenie tiny adorable little kaiju. Though you should be able to heal yourself... That's odd..." he said to himself in the silence of his empty office
