"Should we just keep driving?" Art questions, his hand scratching the back of his head as he stands on the other side of the car bonnet. What was meant to be peaceful road trip has turned into the car sounding questionable to say the least half way through the journey. Looking over to your boyfriend, and despite his obvious lack of knowledge of cars, you decide to trust him and get back into the car.

Yellow sunglasses, snapping film pictures of Art as the two of you keep driving your way to the hotel you had booked. A quiet hotel outside the city, with a spa and pool, to enjoy your first anniversary. Art had planned everything, down to the second. He wanted to make sure it was perfect, for you. Until, of course, that questionable noise became louder.

"I'm sorry, baby," Art sighs, looking down to the now smoking bonnet of his car. This was not how he wanted to spend your first anniversary, broken down on the side of some random dirt road. A quick call to a local car company later, praying it was an easy fix. Only to be told, of course, it needed a couple hours work. The two of you walked down the dirt road, stumbling into a road-side diner. Pancakes for two, maple syrup and coffee.

"This isn't the romantic meal I had planned," Art half smiles, pushing the food on his plate around, almost like he was disappointed in himself. As if he could have planned the car disaster, almost as though he should have known something was wrong before he left. "But, you know, I will always love you, right? No matter if we're in some shitty diner with no car, or at some fancy meal. I will always love you."
