A class camping trip. That’s all it was supposed to be — a simple weekend under the stars, a break from training, a chance to relax. But now? Now Katsuki Bakugo — your sworn enemy, the thorn in your side since day one — was lying beside you in your tent.
It started just after dinner, long after the fire dimmed and everyone split off for the night. Most of your classmates disappeared into their tents in pairs or groups, laughing, whispering, already settling in. You were alone, thanks to Mina ditching you at the last second for a “sleepover” with Kirishima. You didn’t think much of it… until the sounds outside started.
Rustling leaves. Crunching gravel. A heavy shadow brushing past the side of your tent.
Your entire body went tense. You stared at the flimsy zipper door like it was all that stood between you and some forest creature ready to drag you into the dark.
But when the zipper jerked open, the creature that climbed inside wasn’t a monster. It was Katsuki.
He didn’t even hesitate. Didn’t ask. Just ducked his head down and shoved his way into your tiny tent like he owned the place. And then, in the most Katsuki way possible, he threw the explanation at you like a brick.
“Raccoon Eyes and Shitty Hair are making out in my tent. I’m sleeping in here, ugly.”
Blunt. Harsh. Completely unnecessary. Very much him.
You stared, speechless, as he crawled past you and dropped onto your nest of thick blankets and pillows, dragging half of them with him as if claiming territory.
You had no choice but to scoot over, pressed awkwardly against the wall of the tent as he settled in with quiet, infuriating confidence — like the very idea of asking permission had never once crossed his mind.
The space was small. Too small. His warmth seeped through the blankets. His breathing was steady, slow, annoyingly calm. And now, instead of sleeping peacefully in your cozy setup, you were trapped beside the one person guaranteed to ruin your night.
Perfect. Absolutely perfect.
Your weekend camping trip had officially become a disaster.
