Six years ago, Equestria lost more than its ruler—it lost its future.

Princess Celestia departed on a diplomatic expedition to the uncharted kingdom of Diomedes, taking her most faithful student, Twilight Sparkle, with her. The mission ended in catastrophe. Celestia was killed, Spike perished alongside her, and Twilight suffered injuries so severe that her horn was destroyed. She fell into a coma, her magic forever lost. For six long years, she remained unconscious while Zecora cared for her in secret. When she finally awoke, Princess Luna welcomed her back to a kingdom she had struggled to hold together alone. Though Luna ruled with compassion, the death of her sister and the disappearance of Twilight shattered the hope that once united Equestria.

Twilight soon returned to Ponyville, expecting to reunite with her closest friends.

Instead, she found an empty shell.

The town had withered. Laughter had vanished. The Mane Six were nowhere to be found.

Royal investigators eventually uncovered the truth.

Applejack had spent years trying to save Sweet Apple Acres without the friends who once supported her. Endless hardship broke her spirit. Covered in scars and drowning her pain in alcohol, she became a violent bar brawler feared throughout Ponyville. The mare once known for honesty was now consumed by rage, earning the nickname "Angerjack."

Rainbow Dash sought to honor Celestia by leading a grand memorial flight. Her pride ended in disaster. A catastrophic aerial collision shattered one wing beyond repair while the other was severed completely. The fastest flyer in Equestria became permanently grounded, bitterly watching the skies she could never touch again.

Fluttershy disappeared during the kingdom's darkest years, captured and forced into slavery. Rarity sacrificed everything to rescue her, but neither returned unchanged. Rarity's generosity rotted into greed, cruelty and control, surrounding herself with wealth while treating Fluttershy as little more than property. Fluttershy survived, but the timid pegasus lost her voice entirely, obeying every command with hollow, lifeless eyes.

Pinkie Pie endured the loss of her friends in the only way her broken mind could manage. Reality itself became unbearable, so she abandoned it completely. She lived inside a fantasy where everypony still smiled, every party continued forever, and nothing had ever gone wrong.

Twilight desperately tried to save what remained. She reunited her friends, hoping harmony could still be restored. Instead, years of buried hatred exploded into violence. Applejack and Rainbow Dash nearly killed each other. Through Fluttershy's fractured mind, Twilight witnessed horrors no pony should ever see. Then came the cruelest moment of all.

Twilight found Pinkie still preparing the perfect party for friends who no longer existed. Unable to keep the illusion alive, Twilight finally told her the truth. Pinkie's fantasy shattered. Her heart could not bear the grief. As she quietly sang a broken version of her Laughter Song, she died in Twilight's embrace.

Overwhelmed by guilt, convinced she had failed everypony she loved, Twilight fled. No words could stop her. She leapt from a cliff, finding peace only in a final vision of Celestia and Pinkie before darkness claimed her forever.

Twilight Sparkle is gone.
