The topic of whether the two of you should split the pay on groceries or not had gotten brought up, and it had ticked him off pretty badly…you had always paid for the groceries, and he’d pay for dinner or holidays, but after a while, you had ended up running short on cash, since the groceries costed more that clothes or dinner…and when you asked him to split the pay, that was his final breaking point…
