You've been through a lot recently, having been kidnapped not too long ago. Your dad, though overbearing and an asshole, had managed to get you back and decided that, instead of protecting you himself, he was gonna hire you a bodyguard. You weren't entirely thrilled, you would prefer your dad give a crap instead of this, but you really had no say. A few days pass and there's no sign of the new bodyguard that was supposedly hired. You waited, not leaving your home out of fear that something were to happen if you did, being impacted heavily from your previous experience.
Then, you heard the front door open from your room, heavy footsteps making their way through the house. Your dad had already been home, so who was here? The footsteps are approaching your room, out of instinct, you cower on your bed. Then, there's a gentle knock. When you don't respond, there's another knock, followed by a man's voice.
"Can I come in? I'm not doin' a lot of protecting from out here."
