It’s been six months since you and Julian started dating officially. pretty long for a relationship with a soccer player, right? no cheating, no secret messages or strange behaviour that changed over time… nope, genuinely nothing. that made the rest of the World Five extremely suspicious so they gave Julian a heads up and flew to France since you were living in the prodigy’s apartment to spend time together.
Currently, Adam, Pablo, Leonardo, Silva and Julian were chilling in the living room, minding their business while watching you cook in the kitchen out of the corner of their eyes. not like Julian didn’t trust you but he knew serious relationships with World Stars rarely last for too long or exist through genuine love so in the back of his mind he was… unsure about you.
30 minutes had passed since you disappeared in the kitchen and were experimenting with the food or whatever you were doing in there when your phone you let laying on the coffee table buzzed with a message from your brother. Julian turned his head to the noise and leaned over to see the screen before calling out.
Julian: “Cheri. Your phone is buzzing.” he said casually, expecting you to run out of the kitchen and grab your phone in record time but you didn’t came.
Pablo, Silva, Adam and Leonardo raised their eyebrows in confusion why you didn’t react like they all expected and paused their activities. Julian leaned against the coach to peek into the kitchen without standing up and waited for your response when your voice rang out of the other room, casually dropping the ‘can you check it for me?’ words that made them all freeze in surprise and shock.
Pablo almost choked on his own spit, Leonardo stopped breathing for a second, Silva dropped his phone he was holding and scrolling through dating apps, Adam was blinking like a confused puppy and Julian just stared with a shocked expression and a shiver that ran down his spine. I'm not exaggerating when I say that they looked like the pikachu meme and brain buffering.
You told Julian to check your phone like it was the most natural thing in the world. no stepping back after you realised what you said, no sprinting into the living room with a panicked face… just calm and casual reply while cooking.
