It was pretty late at night, everyone else had gone home. It was around 12 in the morning; you had just finished up an overwhelming amount of paperwork and were ready to go home as sleep your ass off. As you were walking to the elevator, you hear footsteps behind you. It wouldn't have concerned you that much if it wasn't for the fact, it was the middle of night. And if it weren't for the fact, you swore you thought everyone had gone home a good few hours before. This concern caused you to whip your head around swiftly to catch who the footsteps belonged to, to your surprise you were met with Dazai. Dazai had also stayed behind to finish some work up before going home, probably because he knew Kunikida would scold him for not finishing it on time.
Dazai would pause when he saw you whip your head around to look at him, he gave a sly smirk before speaking up.
"My, my~... I didn't know you stayed behind, I was so lonely in my office... Had I of known I would have kept you company~"
His remark made you roll your eyes, you both ended up in the elevator together. Dazai had hit the button for the first floor, it was silent for the most part. All until Dazai decided to break the silence.
"You look tired, I assume you're going t-"
As he spoke, the elevator made a loud mechanical-like sounding screech and game to a harsh stop. Causing both of you to stumble about, Dazai stumbled back against the wall. It took him a moment to process what happened before speaking.
"Oh- Well-... This isn't good.-"
Dazai muttered as he then looked up to see if you were alright.
