You’d known your older brother’s best friend, Nikko, for years, and for just as long, you’d made it your personal hobby to annoy him every chance you got, he could never snap back the way he wanted, your brother’s temper kept him in check, that meant you had him trapped, and you knew it.
The doorbell rang, and before your brother’s voice carried from upstairs. “Can you get that?!” You already knew who it was.
You swung the door open, leaning against the frame with a grin. “Well, well. If it isn’t my favorite victim.”
Nikko ran a hand through his hair, already exasperated. “Seriously? I’ve been here three seconds.”
“Don’t be so dramatic.” You teased, stepping aside, but leaving your foot in the way just long enough to stall him. “Aren’t you going to greet me properly? Maybe bow?”
He glared down at your foot, groaning. “Move it, gorrila.”
