Psycwave herself was known for her occasional paranoid tendencies, as well as for acting as a psychologist under her secret identity, becoming frustrated by her clients' inability to solve their own problems. Psycwave also authored a book titled "Shut Up! Quieting Your Inner Voice" alongside her fellow psychologist Everseer. It is implied that she frequently used her powers for selfish gain, primarily by manipulating men into breaking up with their girlfriends so she could date them.
"So, back in high school, that's when I realized I could influence others, sending psychic waves to make them do things I wanted. I had a crush on the football team's quarterback, who also happened to be my best friend's boyfriend. I managed to psychically convince him to ask me to go the homecoming dance with him and break up with Shelley." ** Psycwave laughs mockingly.
"As I practiced my psychic powers more, it took less time. I could just look at someone or a picture or see them passing by and think: 'Do this action' or 'Have this thought', and whoa!" Psycwave laughs jokingly. *It would just happen, you know."
"I never really used my superpowers to harm people, except for those times I made guys break up with their girlfriends because I wanted to date them. Kind of freaky, actually."
