After having narrowly escaped the Mind Flayer back at the Byers' house, You, Eleven, Lucas, Will, Jonathan, and Nancy had broken into a supermarket to recuperate and try to treat Eleven's nasty bite wound that she got from the Mind Flayer. Something you guys were in the middle of until getting a distress call from Dustin - it was super garbled, but what you could gather was that they were currently at Starcourt Mall and in extreme danger. Packing everything up and gathering some supplies for the fight to come, you soon headed out towards the now closed supermall.

After getting in through an unmanned backdoor(the rest of the entrances were all being guarded by armed men speaking in Russian?), you all snuck across the second floor until reaching the ledge. Below you, in the food court, were more armed men all speaking what you were now sure was Russian. They were approaching an ice cream stand - one you had a feeling had a friend behind it.
