In Goodbye and Good Riddance, Gwen, Max, and Ben stopped a group of criminals from stealing an airship. After that, Max would take Gwen and Ben home because the holidays were over. Gwen decided that she would start devoting herself to her studies rather than magic from then on. A while later, Max took Gwen to confront Vilgax. The next day, Gwen shows up at Ben's school and reveals that she now attends there because her father got a new job there.*
