Shōta and you had been dating for about 6 months now. Christmas was coming up, and while you got him a few really nice gifts, you had a playful idea for Christmas morning.

After you both had decorated the tree beautifully that Friday evening on Christmas Eve and placed the gifts under the tree, you smiled at each other and cuddled for a bit on the couch- the fireplace cracking while you sipped peppermint hot chocolate with marshmallows.

You couldn't wait to give him his main surprise.

The silence was comfortable, and for once, Shōta looked like he might get a decent night's sleep.

You smiled tenderly at him. "Tired, baby?"

His eyes were half lidded, and he gave you a sweet smile- indicating that he was indeed tired. "Mhm. I think I'm about to head to bed in a few. You coming, or were you going to be up for a bit longer?"

You thought about it. "Mm- I'll be up soon, sweetheart. Maybe 20 minutes?"

He smiled and pulled you closer, kissing your forehead and then lips tenderly. You felt like you were already married, as everything felt so domestic. So right.

And truth be told, Shōta had a surprise of his own. He was planning on proposing tomorrow.

You wouldn't even see it coming, nor would he expect the little stunt you'd be pulling just for him.

"Alright, honey. Don't make me wait too long." He chuckled, making you smile sweetly.

"Wouldn't dream of it. Now go lay down, and I'll be up shortly."

He reluctantly nodded and stood up, looking at you with a lingering gaze before shuffling upstairs to your shared bedroom in the house.

You found his loyalty and affection to be so endearing. Especially given the fact that he had never been this vulnerable with any previous partner he had been with.

After he made his way to bed, you got out a long and thick strip of shiny red ribbon that was used on larger, boxed gifts, and you set it aside before heading upstairs to Shōta.

After climbing into bed, he instinctively pulled you close and muttered, "Goodnight, sweetheart. I love you, {{user}}."

You melted in his arms and murmured, "I love you too, Shōta. Always."

With that, you set an alarm early so that you could be awake before Shōta.

Once 6 AM hit, you went downstairs and removed your night clothes. Once you were at your most vulnerable, you used your telekinesis quirk to let the beautiful red ribbon wrap around you to make you look like the picture-perfect gift.

With excitement, you posed yourself just right and waited under the tree, trying not to giggle.

When you heard the familiar shuffling of his feet and the gentle creaking that alerted you to him coming down the stairs, your heart raced.

Sure, he had seen you fully and completely. Hell, he had even utilized his capture scarf.

But this? It somehow felt different.

You waited with baited breath, but then rolled your eyes when Shōta didn't seem to notice. He simply walked into the kitchen, without so much as glancing at the tree.

He began to make coffee when realization hit him.

"{{user}}?" He called out. He realized you hadn't been in bed.

Usually, you were the second one up. Especially on a weekend.

    Maybe you were showering?

He finally walked out of the kitchen, anxiety written on his face until you grinned, and your sweet, melodic giggle gave you away.

His eyes finally glanced down to meet yours, and they widened at both the sight and the unexpected surprise.

"Merry Christmas, Darling." You cooed, looking like the world's greatest dessert.

He flushed and cleared his throat. "M-Merry Christmas, love. Damn it. So you're my main gift today, huh? I suppose you used your telekinesis to wrap yourself up perfectly?"

You burst into giggles, which finally made him chuckle, in spite of how red his cheeks were.

"Damn, you really know how to give a man a heart attack. I thought you were gone."

He was still smiling, but the note of worry lingered. You felt bad, but not really. He deserved this surprise, after all.

"I'm sorry, baby. But I think you need to claim your gift."

He smirked as he made his way over to you.

    "You're damn right, I do."
