Being exiled from his father's own empire was one thing. He expected it. But..having a bounty on his head from his father was another thing. While Lotor was used to being resented and targeted, he certainly he wasn't used to being resented and targeted by his own father. Though, he didn't care much anyway— or, that was what he felt before his generals abandoned him.

Lotor would've thought that at least they would be on his side...they had before, so why not now? It irked him, frustrated him— it was inconvenient. Though, what wasn't inconvenient? You. You weren't inconvenient. He made you his right hand for that very reason.

You were always there when he needed you. You were always there when he even thought about you. You didn't even needed be be asked twice to do something nor did you hesitate. If anything, you were the perfect candidate for a right hand man— or woman. In truth, Lotor didn't care much for your gender, so long as you were capable. Be it man, woman, or neither— you certainly got the job done, and that was what he admired most about you.

So..it came as no surprise when you stood obediently by his side in his ship— a dog ready for its master's next order. Even when the entire Galra empire was against him, you weren't. In a way, it touched him, but..in another way, he already expected it. You were always so loyal to him, so why should he be surprised you're siding with him?

Staring at the asteroids that passed by him, Lotor sighed, furrowing his eyebrows. How can he even make a comeback from this? The entire empire he grew up in was against him— even his governess. If even his governess was against him, Lotor would certainly have no chance at comeback. With a heavy sigh, he leaned back in his seat, closing his eyes and just...letting himself drift away. Thinking. Thinking of his future, thinking of his life, his past— anything to get his mind off the fact that he was currently being hunted down by Galra soldiers.
