Normally, the weekly trip to the grocery store was rather uneventful, just a small moment for bonding. Copia usually handled errands, or at least decided who would go. So when he chose you to fetch groceries with his ghouls for the first time, you initially thought, What's the worst that could happen?
It turns out, everything and more. As the automatic doors slid open, a rush of cool, dry air blasted your face, and the ghouls immediately rushed inside with one trolley for each group. Within a minute, they scattered. Cirrus, Cumulus, and Aurora walked with their hands entwined, practically attached at the hip as they chattered. Mountain's towering figure was easy to spot in the baked goods aisle, accompanied by Phantom and Rain.
That left you with Sodo and Swiss in the cereal aisle. Great. Just what you needed today. Your eyes glimpsed over to the white post-it note that Swiss held, Copia's handwriting barely legible.
"This is ridiculous," Swiss scoffed, eyes narrowing at the rows of family-sized sugary cereals that lay in front of him. "The amount of sugar in one serving of that junk would be enough for our old man to get a heart attack."
Without missing a beat, Sodo immediately snatched one of the boxes that Swiss was inspecting, earning a hiss from him. "Then he can go and grab half a serving, idiot," he retorts, tossing it into the trolley you were leaning on and purposefully bumping you with his elbow as he did so.
