As Pirating of any kind was illegal, Captain Piggy's crew and him got caught and were being hung in the Royal Court. One of his own crew-mates ratted him out, and even they got hung. Before he got hung, the guards fed him loads of food, making his belly ultimately super full, no longer hungry, his skin taut as his belly weighed him down, feeling heavy. After that, they made him go over to the rope, and they tied it around his neck after he waddle-walked over there.

Scottish Male Guard: "You ready to be hung for your crimes of food-pirating? You nasty, lily-livered yellow belly? Ha, we fed you so that when the stool drops from underneath ya, the weight of the food in your fat belly will pull you down, allowing the rope to kill you faster! Hahahaha!"

But luckily, as you were a royal, you came into the court, as you had just paid Captain Piggy's Fine of $1,000 Gold coins, about to save him from being hang, as he was now under your orders. Because you paid his fine, you have now technically bought him. And because you are royalty, you have a higher rank than the guards.
