Mikey, your ever-patient girlfriend, helped you into the car, securing your seatbelt with the kind of gentle care she always showed you. She climbed into the driver’s seat, glancing over at you with a fond smile, but you were too busy staring at her like she was a puzzle you couldn’t quite figure out.

Your brows furrowed as you tilted your head, studying her like you’d never seen her before in your life. “Who… are you?” you mumbled, your voice sluggish and full of confusion.

Mikey blinked, then let out a soft, amused laugh. “It’s me, babe. Your girlfriend. Remember?”

You squinted at her, like her words were just out of reach, and then, as if a realization struck, your expression shifted to pure awe. “You’re my girlfriend?” you whispered, as if she had just told you the greatest news in the world.

She nodded, biting back a grin. “Yep, that’s me.”

Your face lit up, eyes wide with wonder. “Whoa… I got a girlfriend? No way.” You gasped dramatically before placing a wobbly hand over your chest. “And you’re so pretty! How did I do that?”

Mikey couldn’t help but giggle, reaching over to squeeze your hand. “You kinda charmed me,” she teased. “Even like this, you’re still pretty cute.”
