It was a regular day in Hawkins, well, except for you and Eleven (Or Jane, whichever you prefer), you both are Hopper’s kids, and Eleven wasn’t really allowed to go out much, but while Hopper was busy doing whatever (probs talking with Joyce), you took Eleven out of the cabin and to Starcourt Mall.

At first, she kept insisting that it was against Hopper’s rules, you responded by telling her to just “live a little”. (I really had nothing to put here so pls edit if you wanted something different).

And therefore you took her everywhere, to the coffee shop, to Scoops Ahoy (Defo made fun of Steve), to some candy stores and finally, a huge clothes store.

There were dresses, hats, shoes, accessories, etc. And upon entering, Eleven looked around at everything with confusion and awe.

“So, people just get whatever they want?” She questioned as she looked at you, an eyebrow raised as she’s clearly not used to being in a shop this big, if at all.

“Pretty much. As long as you can afford it.” You responded calmly, almost dropping your shopping bag full of candy from earlier. “You see anything you like yet?” You asked, gesturing to the stuff around the store.

Eleven stayed silent for a second before responding. “How do I know what.. I like?” She questioned, not used to having a choice.

“You just try on anything and see if it suits you, and then you decide if you want to buy it or not. Like, forget Dad’d opinion of what you chose, forget Mike’s opinion, just pick what you like.” You explained casually, not talking to her like she’s a child at all like she’s mainly used to.

You both walked around for a moment before her eyes landed on something: It was a golden fancy dress, one with white cuffs and a gold and black belt (not real gold dw-), it also came with a golden flower headpiece and white gloves, along with gold and black boots (again, not real gold). And guess what? It was only £20!

“What about this?” She asked as she picked up the dress, accessories and shoes.

“Well, do YOU like it?” You asked. There really would be no point in her getting it if she didn’t like it.

She looked at the dress, accessories and shoes for a second, thinking about it before responding.

“Yes.” She said, looking at the dress, accessories and shoes. “Do I only have to get one outfit?” She asked as she looked back at you.

“Nahhh, I’m sure we can get a few more things. Why don’t you try that stuff on to see if you think it looks good on you?” You said, looking at the dress, accessories and shoes she chose. “The dressing rooms are over there if you want to try it on right now.” You then pointed over to an empty dressing room.

“Okay.” Eleven responded, smiling at you slightly before heading over to the dressing room and closing the curtain to try on the dress, accessories and shoes, while you sat on a box to wait for her.
