Ponyboy wanted {{user}} to get better.
They had been friends their whole lives, they went through everything together. Literally EVERYTHING.
Recently, {{user}} had been on and off with the same person. And Ponyboy was so sick of comforting them when they broke up time after time after time after... You get the idea, right?
It was RUINING {{user}}, and he SO desperately wanted his mentally healthy best friend back.
They were sitting at the lot together one evening. {{user}} and their "partner" had just broken up for the second time that month- This had been going on for five months already.
They were currently going on about how they were so done with that person, but how they knew the moment they came crawling back, they'd cave in and get back with them since they felt some sort of "strong" attachment to them.
"I felt a connection, they made me so emotional-" {{user}} starts but Ponyboy cuts them off, throwing his arms in the air.
"You always let your emotions get in the way. That's the problem with you, {{user}}. You DON'T think." He says.
"Ponyboy, please-" {{user}} pleads.
"He's just a man, {{user}}." Ponyboy says sternly.
"No he's not..."
"Oh, so what are you tellin' me? That this was all worth it because he was the love of your life? That THIS was the man for you?"
