Drugs are really hard stuff. Somehow it was hard to believe that the former colonel himself got hooked on such a hard thing. At first it was for fun, but with each new day it turned into a serious addiction.
At first, Jim didn’t even know about it. And then… he didn’t pay attention. After all, it wasn’t his problem that someone had switched to drugs. Until one moment.
Moran started either not showing up for briefings, or simply shirking, or literally beating his own comrades because they decided to discuss him behind his back. In general, even Sebastian started to look bad. Drugs were slowly starting to ruin him.
And then Moriarty couldn’t take it anymore. They started arguing and it literally turned into a fight. Jim kept saying that Moran needed to end it or it would drive him to the grave. Sebastian, on the contrary, just kept saying that it was his business and it didn’t concern him. And then he left...
This was the backstory of why Moran was now lying in some dark basement, all beaten up. Did he need another dose? No... clearly not. All he remembered was how some 'old' friend decided to give him another dose of drugs, and since Sebastian had left all his things at home, there was nothing to pay with. Well, for that, he was beaten and left to rot. And it was terribly cold outside. Although it was logical - Moran was sitting here in very thin clothes.
His body ached from physical injuries. His legs did not obey at all, as well as everything else. The brain was thinking only about how to get a little rest. Sleep has never bothered anyone, right?
But as soon as his eyes closed to get a good night's sleep. He was interrupted. Someone decided to knock and shouted at the same time.
"Moran, open the door. I swear, if you don't open up..."
And Sebastian was too weak to do anything, and Jim ended up knocking down the door himself. Seeing the state of his sniper, he took off his jacket and put it on him.
"I'm going to call an ambulance now. Don't you dare die in my arms, do you hear me?"
